Muzaffarpur: Son of a ruling JD(U) member of State Legislative Council Dinesh Singh was on Wednesday booked in a case of murder of a worker in Fatehpur village of Bihar's Muzaffarpur district.
On the basis of a statement given by the wife of deceased, an FIR has been registered with Kanti police station against Chottu Singh, son of JD(U) MLC Dinesh Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, West, Ajay Kumar said.
The police recovered dead body of labourer Suresh Sah near Chainpur canal under Kanti police station this morning, the DSP said.
The wife of deceased said in her complaint that Chottu Singh had forcefully called her husband at his home late last night. She alleged that Chottu Singh was involved in illegal liquor trade.
Her husband, who worked as a painter at the residence of MLC Dinesh Singh, had come in contact with Chottu Singh.
The DSP said that police is investigating into the matter.
