Bihar Election Results 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hailed the NDA’s sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, calling it a decisive endorsement of development and public trust. Addressing party workers after the alliance surged toward a landslide mandate, Prime Minister Modi opened his remarks with, “Jai Chhathi Maiya… this massive victory and unwavering faith have truly electrified Bihar.”

NDA’s Win Driven by Public Service, Says PM

Reaffirming his government’s commitment to the people, Prime Minister Modi said the NDA’s triumph reflected its dedication to public service. “We are the servants of the people. We work hard to keep them happy, and we have won their hearts. That is why the entire state has said, ‘Phir ek baar NDA sarkar,’” he said.

Opposition Rejected, ‘Katta Sarkar Will Never Return’

Prime Minister Modi also criticised the opposition, asserting that Bihar had decisively rejected what he described as the era of “Jungle Raj” and “Katta Sarkar.”

“I want to reiterate that the Katta Sarkar will never return to Bihar. The people have voted for a Viksit Bihar,” Prime Minister Modi declared.

Stepping up his attack, Prime Minister Modi said the outcome had also made another message clear: “Bihar has made it loud and clear that it will not support those who are out on bail.”

PM Modi's Fresh Attack on Congress, Warning of Internal Split

He further intensified his criticism of the Congress, claiming the party had transformed into what he called the “Muslim League Maoist Congress” and was now guided entirely by that agenda. He said a faction within the party was becoming uneasy with what he described as negative politics, adding that he feared the Congress could face another major split because of growing internal tensions.

"Earlier, there was no election in Bihar where repolling did not take place. For instance, before 2005, repolling happened at hundreds of places. In 1995, repolling took place at more than 1500 polling stations. But as the jungle raj ended, the situation started improving, and in both phases of this election, there was no need for repolling anywhere. This time, the voting was peaceful," PM Modi said.

Prime Minister Modi said, "Our government is striving to include Chhath in the UNESCO Heritage List. The goal is to connect the entire country and the world with this culture through its significance."

NDA Sweeps Early Trends, BJP Emerges as Largest Party by 8 PM

In one of Bihar’s most significant political shifts in recent years, the state witnessed a strong saffron surge as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) moved towards a near-landslide, approaching the 200-seat mark. Early trends from the Election Commission showed the alliance firmly ahead of its rivals.

By evening (8 pm), the BJP was leading on 90 seats, emerging as the single largest party, while the JD(U) followed with leads on 85 seats. Smaller allies, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM and RLM, added crucial gains, putting the NDA on course for what appears to be its most decisive victory since 2010.
