It has shaken up the dominance of Tata Nexon EV and Punch EV, and marked its presence in the Indian electric car space in no time. MG Windsor EV measures almost 4.3 metres in length, which is as big as Hyundai Creta, which is also approx 4.3 meters long. 

Offering the big size and more than enough space in the cabin with 2,700mm wheelbase, it is almost 1.12 lakh cheaper (with Baas) than the Hyundai Creta for the base variant. While Creta (ICE) starts at Rs 11.11 lakh, the Windsor electric starts from Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, excluding battery cost. It reduces the upfront cost of the vehicle making it more accessible. 

However, the buyers will have to pay Rs 3.5 per km for using the battery under BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service), a battery rental program. With Baas, it ranges between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh, otherwise it costs between Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Talking about the rivals, Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 400 EV, Tata Curvv EV are the closest alternative to the MG Windsor EV.

MG Windsor EV Battery & Motor: It gets a 38 kWh battery pack, mated to a single electric motor that delivers 136PS/200Nm and offers a claimed range of 332 km. According to MG, using a 45kW DC fast charging, it can be charged from 0-80 percent in 55 minutes.
