Armenia

In Armenia, women make up 55 per cent of the population. This imbalance is largely due to the impacts of World War I and the Armenian Genocide, which greatly reduced the number of men. The country also faced Soviet rule and regional conflicts, further decreasing the male population. Despite a higher number of women, the birth rate still leans towards boys, with 110 boys born for every 100 girls.
