No OTPs From December 1 On Your Smartphone? TRAI’s New Rules For Jio, Airtel, Vi, And BSNL

TRAI Traceability Rules: To tackle spam SMS and phishing attacks, TRAI has directed telecom providers Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and BSNL to enforce the traceability rule starting December 1. The traceability rule will track commercial messages and OTP messages. Notably, TRAI has decided to strictly implement it to all telecom companies.
