Shay Shariatzadeh is an accomplished engineer. She holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of British Columbia and currently works as a program manager at Microsoft.

John Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh first met in a restaurant in Vancouver in 2019. Cena was there for a dinner with friends when one of Shay’s friends asked for a photo, sparking their connection.  

The couple married twice. Their first wedding took place at an attorney's office in Tampa, Florida, in October 2020. They celebrated again with a grander ceremony in Vancouver in July 2022.  

Shay credits her mother, a surgeon, as her greatest influence. She admires her mother's hard work and independence, which deeply inspired her own career and personal life choices.
