Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is the captain of India cricket team in Test and ODI formats. He retired from T20Is after leading India to a memorable victory at the 2024 Men's T20 World Cup in the Caribbean.

Rohit, who holds several batting records, is widely regarded as one of the greatest openers in white ball cricket. He is the first player to score 5 T20I centuries and also holds the record of hitting fastest T20I century in 35 balls. He also holds the world record for the highest individual score (264) in an ODI match.

Rohit, who is also known as Hitman, is the only player to have scored three double-centuries in ODIs. He also holds the record for scoring most hundreds (five) in a single ODI World Cup, which he achieved in 2019.

Rohit plays for Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League and for Mumbai in domestic cricket. When it comes to IPL titles, Rohit has won it six times: one with Deccan Chargers and five as captain of Mumbai Indians (MI), making him the joint most successful captain in the Indian Premier League.

Rohit Sharma was a member of the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup, and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He is also one of two players who have played in every edition of the T20 World Cup, from the inaugural edition in 2007 to the latest one in 2024.
