Twitter to remove 'verification badge' from some accounts
The blue verification badge was created by Twitter to vouch for the authenticity of content from political leaders, celebrities and journalists, and to distinguish it from spoof or parody accounts.

Twitter now lets anyone request for a verified account
The social network said it was launching an online application for verified accounts, which allow users to recognize public figures and organizations as authentic.
